When the Canon EOS R was first released, it received a ton of criticism, some of which was rightly deserved. This tends to happen a lot with Canon Cameras. Throughout its release, Canon implemented several firmware fixes that fixed several issues. It also made the EOS R a capable camera. After owning the EOS R for over a year, I wanted to discuss some of the pros and cons of owning this mirrorless camera. The following video is my long-term Canon EOS R Review.

Lens Selection
4K Recording at up to 30 fps
Cons:
Heavily cropped 4K.
No “In Body Image Stabilization”
New RF Mount Requires New Lenses
Only One SDcard Slot Available
Soft Video Image is another drawback for this camera.
In my opinion, other cameras like the Sony A7 series beat the EOS R in terms of video image quality.
Canon still has great camera science but Sony is definitely catching up to Canon in terms of color quality.
Timelapse is only available in movie mode
