Canon RF 24-105mm f4L IS USM Lens Review

Earlier this year I purchased a Canon EOS R. Although it came with an adapter for EF lenses, I knew I would need to try out some RF lenses for the camera body at some point. As I do a lot of traveling I wanted to try a zoom lens that was perfect for various focal ranges. Below is my Canon RF 24-105mm f4L IS USM Lens Review.

Who this Product is For:

The RF 24-105mm is a great starter lens if you're new to the EOS R line of cameras. If you're a travel enthusiast its a great zoom lens to have in that it has a flexible focal reach. Also, it's great for video shooters as the constant f4 aperture can help control the exposure throughout the zoom range.

What You Get:

  • Long Focal Length: 105mm

  • Lighter Weight: 700 g

  • Control Ring Customization

The Control Ring Customization allows you to program control of iso, aperture, and other features from the lens.

What You Won’t Get:

Below are some of the drawbacks I noticed with this lens:

  • Limited Low Light Capabilities for Video

I also noticed that the lens lacks some sharpness when it comes to video.
